How to get the most out of your trip to the beach with a rent a car?

¿Cómo sacarle el máximo provecho a tu viaje a la playa con un rent a car?

It’s summer, we are in vacation time and your body asks for it and you know you deserve it: sun, sand, sea and a cool drink. Therefore, we bring you several tips so that you can get the most out of that family trip that you want to take so much to the beach if you use a rent a car:

  1. Pack appropriate clothing and accessories:

For a trip to the beach you should wear comfortable clothes that make you feel more comfortable. Bring several changes of clothes, sunglasses (hopefully with UV protection for your eyes), sunscreen with SPF equal to or greater than 50, a hat and/or cap, and even a light coat in case there is a strong wind at night. It is important that you wear sandals, but also comfortable shoes for walking on rocks or sand.

  1. Protect your skin

Surely you want to sunbathe to have a little more color; and it is okay to do so, but without exceeding the exposure time because this can cause burns and discomfort. Avoid doing it between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. since at this time the UV rays are stronger. And of course, don’t forget to pack your sunscreen as we mentioned above and put it on your body every hour to hour and a half if you’re out in the sun.

  1. Hydrate

If you are going to walk on the beach or nearby trails in a National Park or Reserve, do not forget to always carry your water bottle and drink plenty. You can also consume fruits such as watermelon, melon and strawberries, which are the most hydrating.

  1. Pay attention to the signs on the beach

Red tide, dangerous animals, strong currents, are among other warnings that you have to read carefully and pay attention to what they tell you.

  1. Be careful with marine animals

On the beach, between rocks while you explore and in the sea, you will find animals that are many colorful and exotic, but avoid touching them to prevent stings or other difficulties. Remember that you are the tourist and they are in their natural habitat.

  1. Play sports

How about taking some surf or yoga classes? Or you can just walk on the beach or go for a run. Surely you want to relax and rest, but if you are going to stay on the beach for many days, try to do sports for the sake of your health.

  1. Swim on the shore

No matter how experienced a swimmer you are, try to stay close to the shore. If you have small children in your care, keep an eye on them and put a life jacket on them.

  1. Don’t leave trash lying around

On most beaches there are garbage cans, but always carry a bag to store the garbage and then deposit it in the garbage can at your accommodation.

  1. Keep an eye on your children and pets

Not all beaches accept pets, where they do, take care that your pets do not cause damage to facilities or bother other tourists. Take care of your children’s safety and that they do not bother other people, such as when they cry a lot or throw water or sand.

  1. Disconnect

If you go to the beach for a walk it is because you surely want to disconnect from work and/or study. Take advantage of this opportunity to renew energy and reflect.
