It is incredible that in such a tiny country, like Costa Rica, there is so much variety of birds with that enormous range of colors, songs, forms, and habits. No less than 845 species, in a territory of just 50,900 km2.
Amazing, but nothing strange. Nobody is surprised, for example, to be sitting under an almond tree where a flock of macaws, toucans or cusingas feed. The experience, for a bird lover, is incredible, also to be able to admire the yiguirro, the Costa Rican national bird and the tiny hummingbirds.
