Costa Rica Lapas, Toucan, Birds

Costa Rica Lapas Toucan Birds

It is incredible that in such a tiny country, like Costa Rica, there is so much variety of birds with that enormous range of colors, songs, forms, and habits. No less than 845 species, in a territory of just 50,900 km2.

Amazing, but nothing strange. The abundance of the fauna is explained in the exuberance of the flora, which facilitates the provision of food; the tropical climate, without extreme temperatures and among other good reasons, the state protection of forests, beaches, mangroves and by extension, the protection of all manifestations of wildlife.

Those who visit Costa Rica may experience the pleasant sensation of observing a variety of subspecies of birds such as the eagle and the sparrowhawk; also like the turkey, the peacock, the storks, the herons, pigeons, sparrows, and hummingbirds.

Nobody is surprised, for example, to be sitting under an almond tree where a flock of macaws, toucans or cusingas feed. The experience, for a bird lover, is incredible, also to be able to admire the yiguirro, the Costa Rican national bird and the tiny hummingbirds.

Of course, each species has its habitat, and all that is needed is to have a comfortable, safe, adequate vehicle to travel through the different regions of the Costa Rican surface.
