It is located south of San Jose and the best way to get to Playa Uvita is to fly to Juan Santa Maria International Airport and from there take a bus to Quepos and Dominical. From here you can take another bus to Playa Uvita, a short trip. Another alternative is to fly tourists to Palomar Sur Airport and then drive to the beach Uvita.

You can travel throughout the year as it has a glorious climate almost all the time. Playa Uvita is a beach 2 miles of white sand and moderate waves and crystal blue water. Because this beach is part of the Parque Nacional Marino Ballena any hunting or fishing of marine life is strictly prohibited. However, conditions are ideal for swimming and tourists can enjoy a variety of water sports. The best of Playa Uvita phenomenon is its beautiful scenery with its statutory and mangrove swamps as well as its charming village atmosphere.

Riding, snorkeling, kayaking and scuba diving are popular activities, while those who prefer a more relaxed peace can walk along the coast or take a sunbath on the beach and enjoy a beautiful scene and marine life that Playa Uvita offers. It's a relatively quiet beach with few tourists and you can also take a tour to Cano Island, Isla Violin, Island Whale and walking a few miles to the forest or mountains.
