The small coastal town of Palmar Sur is home to some mysterious spherical granite stones dating from pre-Columbian Costa Rica. Located in the south Pacific region, South Palm is located in the province of Puntarenas.
At about 270 km south of San Jose Palmar Sur is on the banks of the Sierpe River in the Valley Dams. Located about 6 hours drive from San Jose and the best way to get to the Palmar Sur, take a domestic flight of 40 minutes from Juan Santamaria International Airport.
