The North Carib understands the Caribbean coast from the River Saint John up to the city of Lemon. The city of Lemon constitutes the tourist center of this Corridor, working simultaneously as center of demurrage of scale distribution and of jaunt.

The principal attractions the spawning of green turtles constitutes it in the beaches of the National Park of Tortuguero and the National Refuge of Vida Silvestre Barra of the Colorado, place privileged for the sports fishing of steal it, the sàbalo and other species. The previous thing complements itself with the system of fluvial channels that joins the Port of Moín with Bar of the Colorado, which constitutes a singular attraction and simultaneously the average only one of transport.

NATIONAL REFUGE OF WILD FAUNA SWEEPS OF THE COLORADO

This refuge created in 1985 is located in the north end of the Caribbean region, in the frontier part with Nicaragua. It is provided with 78.977 hectares, where there are channels, lagoons, rivers, marshes, forests, hills; with less than 250 meters of altitude, continental or fluvial islands. The precipitation in this region is approximately 5500 to 6000 millimeters per year, from what a dry station in strict sense does not exist.

One exists rich biodiversity of plants and animals, some species are endemic, that is to say, that only are in this protected area. The flora consists of 3 types of vegetation: flooded forest, yolillal and gamalotal. As for the fauna, they are: crocodiles, caymans, sea cows, dantas, jaguares, monkeys congos and carablanca, lazy of three fingers, also the fish gaspar; considered as a living fossil.For his icthyologic plenty, it is considered to be a paradise for the sports fishing, which can be practised obtaining a license for it. There are several fields of fishing and some world marks have been obtained in these waters. To come to Colorado it is possible to travel in boat from: Moín, Tortuguero, Old Port, Sarapiquí and other places or in plane from San Jose.

NATIONAL PARK TORTUGUERO

The National Park Tortuguero established in 1975 is one of the wild areas of major biological diversity of Costa Rica and it offers one of the most exuberant sceneries of the country. It is provided with a surface of 26.156 hectares and it was created by the principal intention of protecting the area of anidación of the most important green turtle of the western Carib. Tortuguero, possesses a very humid tropical forest, because it rains between 5000 and 6000 millimeters per year.These climatic conditions favor the existence of little more than 400 species of trees and about 2200 species of other plants, as well as more than 400 species of birds, 60 species of amphibians, 30 species of fish of fresh water and different mammals in danger of extinction: dantas, monkeys, manigordos, jaguares, sea cows, lazy and different. In Tortuguero there are typical the channels, lagoons and rivers of big scenic beauty and they can be covered by boats, canoes and kayaks to enjoy his wonderful scenery.
