Increase in daily frequencies is intended as a response to the demand from customers for business and pleasure

The airline Aeromexico, announced the addition of a second daily flight on the route San Jose – Mexico, from November 03 of 2014. 
According to information supplied by the Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT), with this movement, the airline would be offering a total of 14 operations per week.

The second daily flight would have a schedule of departure fromthe Juan Santamaria International Airport scheduled to the 3:15 p.m. The other seven weekly frequencies that Aeromexico will continue to operate on a regular basis with the same itinerary. 
Anko van der Werff Park, Executive Director of revenue of Aeromexico, commented that the incorporation of this flight in daytime, it responds to the need to cover the demand of passengers both for business or pleasure travelers to the capital of Mexico as well as its broad network of connectivity in more than 40 cities in Mexico or continue to the United States, Canada, Europe or Asia. 
According to Wilhelm von Breymann, Minister of Tourism of Costa Rica, Mexico has positioned itself as the country main source of tourists in Latin America who are admitted by the air. 
"Only the previous year, almost 70 thousand Mexican tourists entered our country by air, which represented an increase of 8.4 % in comparison with the 2012, so with this increase in the frequency of flights are strengthened trade relations with Aeromexico, recognized airline has opted for Costa Rica as a tourist destination, with the creation of routes and the increase of frequencies, thereby facilitating the aerial connections between the two countries," said von Breymann.
